CCW



The National Council of Catholic Women acts through its membership to support, empower and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership and service.

NCCW programs respond with Gospel values to the needs of the Church and society in the modern world.

CCW consists of a governing board comprised of volunteers from 6 Commissions

  1. Organization Commission
    serves to strengthen and assist the entire organization in communicating their concerns among women
  2.  Church Commission 
    works to create a community of God’s people that is educated  and dynamic, offering programs for growth and action.
  3.  Family Concerns 
    assists families in achieving a truly Christian Life
  4.  Community Concerns 
    insures basic rights, needs and justice for all people.
  5.  International Concerns
    concerned with the needs of people universally
  6.  Legislation Commission
    provides educational and current legislative information on both state and national levels.


Here at Holy Family Parish, our volunteers accomplish many activities throughout the year.

                                     Examples of our projects include :

o       Hosting a community Red Cross Blood Drive

o       Sewing quilts for the needy

o       Supporting Kasson’s Care and Share at Christmas time

o       Financially supporting  children from Mission Honduras,

              plus financing supplies to other missions

o       Serving dinner to guests residing at the Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester

o       Praying for those in need through our prayer chain,

               in addition to sending Care cards

o       Celebrating with area Senior Citizens by serving a  luncheon

               and playing  Bingo on Valentine’s Day

o       Social dinners for all women of the parish

o       As part of the Special Committee of the Winona Diocese, Respect Life,

               we sell Mother’s Day corsages to support MCCL


Our activities are funded primarily by our Fall Harvest Dinner and Bake Sales throughout the year.

Business meetings are held September through May on the 2nd Thursday of the month, in a church classroom at 7pm.

All women are invited to attend meetings and activities. Notices are posted in the church bulletin of upcoming events.

A CCW representative attends the Parish Council meetings to keep them informed of our activities.
